Eunmee Chung
Eunmee Chung studied Art in Metal at the College of Fine Arts of Hongik University in Seoul Korea, and received her master's degree from the same institution. She then went on to earn her second MFA degree in Studio Art from the University of Wisconsin in Madison.
Chung has held over 20 solo exhibitions in various countries including the United States (Suraci Gallery), Korea (Park Young-deok Gallery), Japan (Arai Atelier Gallery), and the United Kingdom (Roger Billcliff Gallery), and has participated in over 200 group exhibitions in countries such as the United States, Europe, Japan, Korea, and the Middle East. Her works are held in collections at the Wustum Museum of Fine Arts in Wisconsin and the Hiko Misuno College Museum in Tokyo, among others.
Chung primarily uses environmentally friendly materials and explores human emotions and environmental issues through her sculptures and installations, which incorporate jewelry, photography, and mixed media.She has served as the president, adviser, and board member of the Han-Mee Artists Association in Washington, D.C., and has taught at Montgomery College while currently working as a full-time artist.
